It was good to see the return of the Ron Bell Memorial Shoot after an absence of 2 years and it was great to see the turnout as we start to return to a more familiar format for competition. Thank you to everyone for supporting the shoot and to Anne and Marty for judging. We had our Ladies and Gents Bare bow trophies to award this year and congratulations to the winner of the Ladies Bare bow, Joanne Walker and to Neil Gordon for the Gents Bare bow. We hope that everyone had an enjoyable days shooting, ( I’m fairly sure one group did, but they will remain nameless. But great to see the fun and craic in field archery.

The Red Kite 3D shoot was a great success, with a very strong field of archers from the north and south of Ireland. It was a very enjoyable and competitive 2 days of shooting and we look forward to participating with fellow archers in the coming years. We also had a nice wee photo book for competitors to remember the ocassion. Results on IANSEO: https://www.ianseo.net/Details.php?toId=10104

Thank you to all the competitors who took part in the The Lady Edith Shoot (ANI Championships) at Mount Stewart on 13th and 14th November 2021. We hope you had an enjoyable 2 days of competition. We would also like to thank the Judges fro their professionalism and friendly manner in judging the shoot.
It was great to have a visiting archer from the Falklands Archery Association at our recent club night. It was good to have the opportunity to share experiences and exchange some souvenirs. Hopefully we can build on the connection.
As we start to look to the future we have produced OnTarget for 2024, our 3 year Strategic Development plan. This sets a clear direction for the club as we seek to move forward, not only building back on the past 18 months but also building forward to face the challenges and create new opportunities for our members development.
We had a very successful Have-a-Go event at Mount Stewart on Saturday 7th August. Well done to all the members who were great ambassadors for the club and archery. We are very pleased to continue our collaboration with Mount Stewart and a big thank you to all the visitors on the day who decided to have-a-go.
On Sunday the 8th August we had a very enjoyable 'Fun in the Sun' Club shoot at Clandeboye estate for club members. The sun did make an appearance at the start, but the rain didn't dampen spirits and members were able to work on their form on an unmarked course. Very encouraging to see some of our new juniors coming out on their first field shoot.
Congratulations to all the participants who have just completed the Beginners Course. We hope they enjoyed the course and hope to see many of them coming along to the club, where they will be vey welcome.
